Thunder fall in overtime

The Oklahoma City Thunder went down to the wire against the Denver Nuggets Friday night in Chesapeake Arena in Oklahoma City. The Thunder had a 13-point rally in the fourth quarter to take the game to overtime. Then poor shooting plagued the Thunder. Nuggets center Mason Plumlee’s key block on Jerami Grant’s go-ahead bucket sealed the victory for Denver.

Denver keeps playoff hopes alive

The Nuggets are in a tight race to claim one of the playoff spots in the Western Conference. Friday night’s victory keeps them in contention for the playoffs. Denver is in 10th place and a game and a half behind the eighth-place Utah Jazz.

Westbrook faces shooting troubles

Russell Westbrook has gone back-to-back games with shooting issues. Thursday night against the San Antonio Spurs, Westbrook air-balled twice near the end of the game. Westbrook went 12-for-32 against the Nuggets and again couldn’t hit the key shot at the end. While Westbrook went 4-for-9 from the 3-point line, the Thunder set a franchise record of 20 buckets beyond the arc against the Nuggets.
