Brewer continues hot streak

Corey Brewer has continued his role as a difference maker in a Thunder uniform. During his six games with Oklahoma City and his former college coach Billy Donovan, Brewer has averaged 26.2 minutes and 10.3 points. While shooting 45 percent from the floor and 40 percent from behind the arc, he also plays great defense. Brewer contributed to the Thunder’s game against the Clippers on Friday at Chesapeake Energy Arena with 22 points and a career-high six steals.

Steven Adams left the Thunder’s game against the Kings on Monday with a hip contusion. He missed the game against the Hawks on Tuesday with the injury and, after a five-day rest, returned Friday against the Clippers. He had a major impact with 18 points and 14 rebounds while he helped hold DeAndre Jordan to 11 points.

March Madness, NBA style

While March Madness is happening in the NCAA, the NBA playoffs are heating up with five games separating the 3rd place team from the 10th. With the Thunder’s victory, they are sitting in fourth place, 1.5 games behind the Portland Trailblazers and one game ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the fifth-place team. With the loss, the Clippers are sitting in 10th place, 1.5 games behind the San Antonio Spurs.

The Thunder prepare to head to Canada to play the top team in the East, the Toronto Raptors, at noon Sunday.
