Westbrook falls just shy of triple double

Russell Westbrook is known for averaging a triple double while scoring 30 points, but Westbrook had a different night on Monday in Oklahoma City. Westbrook recorded 12 rebounds and 11 assists but scored only eight points. It looks as if Westbrook is in a bit of a shooting slump as he is 7-of-27 in his last two games.

Magic starters shine in losing effort

The Orlando Magic’s starters took OKC by storm as they all scored in double digits. Jonathon Simmons and Evan Fournier led the way with 19 points. Simmons went 9-of-10 from the free-throw line and made as many free throws as OKC’s big three shot. Paul George had something to say about that after the game.

After OKC took home the victory against the Magic, Paul George spoke out about how the big three are officiated. George went on to talk about how one of the three should get to the line consistently, seeing how they all attack the basket with the same aggressiveness. Carmelo Anthony, George and Westbrook have gone to the free-throw line fewer times this year than they have in the past. Earlier in the year, George spoke out and received a $15,000 fine. Look for George to receive either a larger fine or no fine.
