Liverpool vs. Porto

Valentine’s Day was anything but sweet for Porto.

Porto, the home side, never scored and conceded five goals to Liverpool FC. Sadio Mane’s hat trick led a merciless attack for Liverpool. The other strikers didn’t miss out on the action, either. Strikers Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino found the back of the net in the 29th and 69th minute, respectively. Liverpool and Porto will meet again on March 6th at Anfield.

Real Madrid vs. PSG

Los Blancos finally got back on track with a convincing 3-1 victory against PSG on Wednesday.

After falling behind 1-0 to PSG, Cristiano Ronaldo showed glimpses of his dominant self as he scored pair of goals that propelled the home team to victory. Ronaldo’s first goal gave him 100 UEFA Champions League goals, the most from any player on one team. Left back Marcelo also scored a goal in the 86th minute, and PSG never recovered after that. PSG’s lone goal came from Adrien Rabiot in the 33rd minute. Superstar striker Neymar failed to score a goal and was heavily pressed throughout the entire game.  Real Madrid and PSG will meet again on March 6th at Parc de Princes for the second leg.
