Westbrook aggressive in OKC

Russell Westbrook scored a game-high 36 points on 15-of-25 shooting from the field, but he went 0-of-4 from behind the arc in a loss to the Lakers in Chesapeake Energy Arena.

OKC’s Westbrook was in attack mode Sunday afternoon as only five of his made shots came from outside the paint. He threw down some of his patented tomahawk slams, including one over Lakers forward Julius Randle.

Lopez sees more time on court for Lakers

Brook Lopez, a Lakers center, hadn’t logged a game over 30 minutes since mid-November, but he logged 35 in Oklahoma City. Lopez had a team-high 20 points while he knocked down four 3-pointers. He’s the only true center on the Lakers’ roster, so look for him to continue getting big minutes.

Carmelo stays cold

Carmelo Anthony followed a stunning 13-point performance on 35 percent shooting with a 10-point, 23 percent shooting day against the Lakers. Last week, Anthony talked about how he was adapting to his new role with the Thunder well, but it seems now he’s in a bit of a slump. Anthony will try to break out of this cold snap when he faces Golden State on Tuesday in Oracle Arena.
