Davis goes off

Anthony Davis scored 43 points on 17-of-43 shooting in the Pelicans’ victory against the Thunder on Friday night in Oklahoma City. Davis helped the Pelicans seal the deal with a couple of dagger 3-pointers. Surprisingly, Anthony Davis grabbed only 10 rebounds, all defensive. Davis also recorded zero assists, so it seemed like quite the selfish night for him.

Thunder big three struggle

The Thunder big three (Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony) went 17-of-54 from the field tonight, a terrible 31 percent.

Steven Adams was the shining star as he recorded another double double with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Although the big three struggled, Russell Westbrook did record another triple double. He’s possibly on his way to another MVP title but also another first-round playoff exit.

Pelicans’ surprising star

E’Twaun Moore, a Pelicans guard and regular starter, showed why he’s a valuable asset. Moore went 10-of-14 for 26 points and shot 4-of-4 from 3-point range. He outscored each of the Thunder’s starters. Look for Moore to continue his hot streak with DeMarcus Cousins out of the New Orleans lineup for the year.
