Tony Allen, G, New Orleans Pelicans: 4.7 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 0.4 apg
Tony Allen, also known as “The Grindfather,” will have to do a bit more rehabbing before he gets back to grinding on the court. Allen is expected to miss another 2-3 weeks with a fractured left fibula. The Pelicans have won four of their last five games in Allen’s absence.
Jawun Evans, G, Los Angeles Clippers: 5.6 ppg, 2 rpg, 2.4 apg
Despite going 0-of-6 in his last game against the Utah Jazz, Evans’ efforts have still accumulated victories for the Los Angeles Clippers this season. The Clippers have won 4 of their last 5 games, and in two of them, Evans scored on more than 50 percent of his field goal attempts.
Marcus Smart, G, Boston Celtics: 10 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 4.6 apg
Marcus Smart continues to be a key player for the Boston Celtics despite their three straight losses. Although he only scored two points against the Orlando Magic on Sunday afternoon, Smart stockpiled 13 points and went 6-of-11 in field goals in a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers Thursday.
