Carmelo Anthony had an incredible night shooting as he shot 10-for-15 and ended with 27 points. It seemed every time the Lakers came back to tie the game, Melo hit multiple 3-pointers to bring the Thunder’s lead back. The whole arena felt full of energy with each 3 he made. Melo looked unstoppable against a Lakers’ defense that appeared lost on the court.

Rebounding propels Thunder to victory

OKC handled many of the boards, as it had a huge 54-30 rebounding advantage. The Thunder got several second-chance buckets off its 21 offensive rebounds. Steven Adams led the Thunder in boards with 10.

Thunder defense holds for yet another game

The Thunder held the Lakers under 40 points in the final 24 minutes. This was the Thunder’s third straight game accomplishing that feat. The Lakers could not get their shots to fall as they shot about 46.9 percent from the floor. The Thunder also forced the Lakers to have 18 turnovers.
