Thunder’s big three impresses

In the Thunder’s biggest game of the season to this point, the big three didn’t disappoint. Russell Westbrook scored 34 points, Carmelo Anthony added 22 and Paul George dropped 20. George’s defense was a big indicator of the team’s focus, as he had four steals and two blocks. George also leads the NBA in steals.

Westbrook, Durant share words

In the third quarter, Westbrook and Kevin Durant shared words on the baseline after Westbrook deflected the ball out of bounds. For about 10 seconds, the former teammates jawed at each other and pushed foreheads against the other. Eventually, teammates separated the two but they kept jawing. Westbrook got his first victory against Durant, as they are 1-3 in games they both play since Durant left.

Thunder heading right direction

This victory could help the Thunder (8-9) move past the .500 mark and into the top of the West standings. Although they have had a slow start to the season, the Thunder are in a great position now, as a victory against Golden State could propel them forward for the remainder of the year.
