Each week of the NFL season, you can find a list of sleepers here at the O’Zone. The fantasy point projections come from ESPN’s non-PPR weekly projections, the scoring format used is ESPN’s standard fantasy football format
Quarterback: C.J. Beathard, San Francisco 49ers
Projected points: 13.7
Following the acquisition of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, there was a lot of speculation of how much longer C.J. Beathard would be the starter. Before their Week 9 matchup, coach Kyle Shanahan all but guaranteed that C.J. Beathard would finish out this season as the starter. Following this announcement, Beathard had his best performance of the season, totaling fantasy 17.4 points against the Arizona Cardinals. In Week 10, Beathard faces the New York Giants, who are giving up the second-most points to opposing quarterbacks.
Running Back: Orleans Darkwa, New York Giants
Projected points: 11.1
In the New York Giants Week 9 blowout loss, Orleans Darkwa managed to lead the team in rushes with 17 for 71 yards. In Week 10, Darkwa faces the league’s worst run defense in the San Francisco 49ers. This should be a low-scoring game, which will benefit Darkwa with a large workload.
Wide Receiver: Robby Anderson, New York Jets
Projected points : 7.2
Robby Anderson has been on a tear in his past three games, scoring a touchdown in all three. In Week 10, Anderson faces the second-worst pass defense in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Averaging 16.6 points per week over the last three weeks has pushed him to a near must start week to week.
Tight End: Eric Ebron, Detroit Lions
Projected points: 4.1
In Week 10, the top two tight ends in fantasy will both be on bye, forcing owners to find replacements. Ebron might be the answer. In Week 9, the Lions’ offense looked impressive against the Green Bay Packers. In their Week 10 matchup, the Lions will face the second-worst defense against tight ends.
Defense/ Special Teams: Detroit Lions
Projected points: 9.3
Though the first nine weeks, the Detroit Lions are the No. 4 fantasy defense. In Week 10, the Lions will go against the worst offense in football, the Cleveland Browns. This matchup alone makes this a good defense to stream, not to mention the strong Week 9 performance the Packers.
Kicker: Robbie Gould, San Francisco 49ers
Projected points: 8.7
Robbie Gould is averaging 8.6 points per week, making him the No. 9 kicker through nine weeks. In Week 10, Gould will face the Giants, who are allowing the tenth-most points to opposing kickers. This makes him a good kicker to add with kickers like Jake Elliot and Harrison Butker on bye.
