Each week of the NFL season, you can find a list of sleepers here at the O’Zone. The fantasy point projections come from ESPN’s non-PPR weekly projections, the scoring format used is ESPN’s standard fantasy football format

Quarterback: Trevor Siemian, Denver Broncos

Projected points: 14.4

In Week 8, Trevor Siemian will look to bounce back from a season-low 5.7 points against the fourth-worst defense against opposing QB’s in the Kansas City Chiefs. Last week, we saw Derek Carr torch this Chiefs’ defense for 417 passing yards and three touchdowns. In a week with six quarterbacks on bye, Siemian is a strong streaming option.

Running Back: Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals

Projected points: 13.1

In Week 8, Mixon will go against a Colts’ defense that is giving up the second-most points to opposing running backs. Jeremy Hill’s touches continue to go down and with Giovani Bernard only being used as the passing down back, Mixon is carving out a prominent role. With running backs such as Leonard Fournette, Todd Gurley and Demarco Murray all on bye, Mixon is a nice fill in against a weak defense.

Wide Receiver: Bennie Fowler III, Denver Broncos

Projected points : 5.9

Following the injury to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, Bennie Fowler III was presumed to take a leap forward in his involvement in the offense. He followed through leading the Broncos in routes run as well as setting a season high in catches with five. In Week 8, Fowler faces the second-worst pass defense in the Kansas City Chiefs, who allowed 210 yards and two touchdowns to wide receiver Amari Cooper alone last week.

Tight End: George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers

Projected points: 4

In Week 8, Kittle faces the fifth-worst defense against opposing TE’s in the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles gave up 64 yards and two touchdowns to Jordan Reed in their Week 7 matchup. Rookie quarterback C.J. Beathard will need to lean on Kittle for the 49ers to have a chance in this game.

Defense/Special Teams: Cincinnati Bengals

Projected points: 10.7

In Week 8, the Bengals will be facing a Colts’ offense that is allowing 13.1  points per game to opposing defenses. The Bengals’ defense is owned in only 35.6 percent of ESPN leagues, making them a perfect streaming option.

Kicker: Kai Forbath, Minnesota Vikings

Projected points: 7.8

Forbath led all kickers in points in Week 8 with 24. Forbath finished 6-of-6 on field goals. With six kickers on bye and Forbath owned in only 10.6 percent of leagues. He is a nice waiver pickup to play this week.
