Carmelo Anthony and Paul George both made their presence known Thursday night in Oklahoma City’s season-opening 105-84 win against the New York Knicks. George led OKC in scoring, finishing with 28 points on 9-of-23 shooting. He shot 6-of-13 from three as well. Anthony added 22 points on 8-of-20 shooting.

Westbrook records a triple double

After breaking the record for triple doubles in a season with 42 last year, Russell Westbrook began the 2017-18 season by recording his 80th career triple double. Westbrook finished the night with 21 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds. He shot 7-of-12 from the field, and attempted only one shot from three-point range.

Porzingis lone bright spot for Knicks

On a night where offense was hard to come by for the Knicks, Kristaps Porzingis had no issues, finishing with 31 points and 12 rebounds on 11-of-25 shooting. Porzingis has officially been handed the keys to this Knicks team and answered the bell in game one. Expect a lot of dominant nights for the rising star.
