By Trevor Smith
Devin Funchess, WR, Carolina Panthers
Carolina Panthers receiver Devin Funchess has been Cam Newton’s go-to target the past two weeks. Funchess has recorded seven receptions and 50-plus yards in consecutive weeks. He also found the end zone for the third time on his way to his second consecutive 10-plus point performance. Therefore, buy Funchess low this week, as all signs point toward continued production.
Aaron Jones, RB, Green Bay Packers
Aaron Jones was the clear replacement for Ty Montgomery, as he rushed for 125 yards against Dallas. Jones garnered 19 of the Packers 25 total rushes Sunday. He found the end zone for the second consecutive week. Buy Jones as a low RB2 and FLEX option, as he will continue to fill in for Montgomery.
Will Fuller V, WR, Houston Texans
Will Fuller has been all business since making his season debut Week 4 against the Titans. Fuller has been Watson’s clear No. 2 target since returning with nine targets in two weeks. He has been essential in the Texans’ offense with 92 yards and four touchdowns, which produced 20 points the past two weeks. Therefore, buy Fuller now, as his production will continue to increase as Deshaun Watson continues to find his groove.
Amari Cooper, WR, Oakland Raiders
I’ll say it again as I said it last week, sell Amari Cooper as quickly as possible. Cooper garnered two targets from Raiders quarterback EJ Manuel with one reception for 8 yards. This is Cooper’s third-consecutive week that he has failed to gain 10-plus yards. His future doesn’t look bright as fellow receiver Michael Crabtree has gotten Manuel’s attention. Therefore, sell Cooper now or risk gaining nothing in a trade.
Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Ben Roethlisberger has seen a decline in performance as this season has gone on. Roethlisberger has accounted for eight turnovers with five interceptions coming against Jaguars on Sunday. He has thrown for 300 yards once and only two touchdowns in the past three weeks. Sell Big Ben high before his value becomes too low.
DeMarco Murray, RB, Tennessee Titans
DeMarco Murray produced his fourth single-digit fantasy performance in five games. Murray recorded just his second 50-plus yard performance as the Titans’ offense continued to struggle in a 16-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Therefore, sell Murray as soon as possible as Mariota’s absence could continue this week.
