Baltimore Orioles’ closer Zach Britton was placed on the 10-day disabled list with left forearm soreness Sunday. Britton said the Orioles have no plan for him to undergo an MRI. Baltimore manager Buck Showalter told reporters Britton felt soreness Friday, the same day Britton converted his 54th consecutive save. The Orioles called up right-hander Stefan Crichton to take Britton’s roster spot.

Giants’ Parker lands on the DL

San Francisco Giants’ outfielder Jarrett Parker was placed on the 10-day DL after breaking his collarbone on a terrific catch Sunday. San Francisco manager Bruce Bochy said he expects Parker to have surgery to speed up recovery time. Chris Marrero is expected to start in Parker’s place.

Reds’ Finnegan placed on DL

Cincinnati Reds’ starting pitcher Brandon Finnegan was placed on the 10-day DL Sunday with a strained left trapezius. Finnegan is the Reds’ fourth starting pitcher to be placed on the DL alongside teammates Rookie Davis, Anthony DeSclafani and Homer Bailey. Finnegan left in the first inning of Saturday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Dodgers’ Hill leaves start with blister

Los Angeles Dodgers’ starting pitcher Rich Hill left in the third inning of Sunday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The start was Hill’s first since being activated from a DL stint because of a blister on his pitching hand. He has been dealing with the blister since being traded to the Dodgers from the Oakland Athletics this past season.
