Marcus Smart was back in the starting lineup with guard Isaiah Thomas out with a bruised knee. Smart capitalized in the starting position, averaging 10 points per game and 6.5 assists in the two games he started. He came in clutch, knocking down key free throws to get a win against the Nets. Smart returned to the bench and averaged 9.5 points per game in wins over the Wizards and Pacers.

Tony Allen, guard, Memphis Grizzlies (9.2 ppg, 5.5 reb, 1.6 stl)

Tony Allen had a usual week, being a monster on the glass, averaging nine points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Allen’s defensive prowess came in handy as the Grizzlies had to use strong defense in the fourth quarter to hold off the San Antonio Spurs. David Fizdale rested Allen in a loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.
