The Las Vegas Golden Knights officially signed Reid Duke of the Western Hockey League (WHL). Reid is the Golden Knights’ first player in team history as they will have their inaugural season next year.

 

Blackhawks’ Darling out three weeks

Chicago Blackhawks backup goalie Scott Darling will miss three weeks because of an upper-body injury he suffered during Friday morning’s skate. The Blackhawks recalled goalie Jeff Glass to back up Corey Crawford until Darling is back from injury.

 

Canadiens extend winning streak

Saturday’s 4-1 victory against the Rangers marked the Canadiens’ fifth straight victory. The Canadiens will face the Canucks on Tuesday night as they play for their sixth straight win under coach Claude Julien.

 

Lightning’s Kucherov is NHL’s First Star

Lightning’s Nikita Kucherov earned NHL’s First Star honor after his stellar week. Kucherov recorded five goals and nine total points in the Lightning’s four games.
