New Orleans Pelicans rookie guard Buddy Hield was ejected for the first time in his NBA career Sunday after he hit DeMarcus Cousins in the groin in their matchup with Sacramento. Hield was given a flagrant foul 2, which results in an automatic ejection. The incident took place in the second quarter, just after Cousins received his league-leading 17th technical foul of the season. The Kings went on to beat the Hield-less Pelicans 105-99.

Durant silences boos in return to Oklahoma City

The Golden State Warriors improved to 3-0 against the Oklahoma City Thunder after Saturday night’s 130-114 win at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The Warriors have won six straight regular season games against the Thunder. Although the boos were heavy, Kevin Durant scored 34 in his first game back in Oklahoma City, the third time he’s dropped over 30 points on his former team this season. Thunder guard Russell Westbrook racked up stats in the drama-filled contest, recording 47 points and 11 rebounds. He also recorded 11 turnovers, which Golden State capitalized on heavily.
