Russell Westbrook had his 23rd triple-double of the season with 27 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Westbrook passed Larry Bird for fifth all-time in career triple-doubles with No. 60 against the Pelicans. Wilt Chamberlain is next on the list with 78.

Thunder nearly give game away

The Thunder led by 19 at halftime and by as much as 22 in the second half, but the Pelicans closed the gap to five points with about four minutes remaining. Seven third-quarter turnovers hurt OKC as it tried to pull away.

Pelicans’ Anthony Davis gets hurt, again

Anthony Davis aggravated a right hip contusion late in the second quarter when Thunder forward Domantas Sabonis collided with Davis while attempting a shot. Davis immediately grimaced in pain and hobbled to the bench. He didn’t return in the second half. The severity of his injury is unclear.
